Smoke is our love language

Guard Dawg started in 2022 with a smoker, our own spice rubs and one rule: no shortcuts. Every tray is seasoned by hand and smoked low and slow in Croton-on-Hudson until the bark is right.

What began with rubs and backyard cooks turned into full-service BBQ catering across Westchester, from office lunches to milestone parties. Our mac & cheese even took 1st Place for Most Creative at the Hudson Valley Mac & Cheese Festival.

Frequently asked questions

How much does catering cost?

Every menu is custom, so pricing depends on your headcount, the meats and sides you choose, and the service style. Send us the quote form and we'll get back to you within 24 hours with a price.

What's the minimum order?

We cater events of 20 guests or more.

How far in advance should I book?

We need at least 48 hours' notice for every event. Bigger events and weekends fill up fast, so book early.

How do I lock in my date?

A 50% deposit confirms your booking. Send the quote form and we'll reply within 24 hours with your menu and deposit details.

Do you deliver?

Yes. We deliver within 20 miles of Croton-on-Hudson. Delivery beyond 15 miles may add a fee, which we'll include in your quote.

Do you offer full-service catering?

Yes, full-service catering is available for events of 40 guests or more. You can also add on-site event staff to any order.

Can you provide plates and utensils?

Yes. Just let us know in your quote request and we'll add plates, cups, utensils and napkins.

What is the Tuesday Bowl Drop?

Every Tuesday we sell a limited run of brisket and pulled pork mac & cheese bowls for pickup at 163 Grand St, Croton-on-Hudson, from 11 AM to 2 PM. Preorder on Hotplate.
